Our Company needs 2 (two) 3G Optimization engineers for a Project in Santiago - Chile.
We offer tax free daily rate + 6 months contract as per local Chilean laws including all benefits (health plan, dental plan, retirement plan, etc)
Our Company provides flights + work visa + reimbursement of food & lodging outside Santiago (0% to 10% of the time).
Consultant must pay food and lodging while in Santiago (+90% of the time) and provide laptop and cell phone. Company will provide SIM Card for project calls.

Key Tasks
3G RF Performance Engineer is responsible for providing 3G optimization services for Nokia system customers. Key counterparts are Nokia project team (network optimization management and colleagues, care, telecom implementation, project management, technical management) and customer organization (network performance team, network engineering team, O&M team). The main tasks of a 3G Performance Engineer are:

• Defining Key Performance Indicators using RAN counters
• Defining RAN default parameters according to model sites
• Defining main alarms to be monitored regarding the indicators to be improved
• Defining and monitoring parameter consistency check rules in order to Maintain RAN parameter database consistent internally and implemented according to the RAN default parameters and RAN planned specific parameters
• Defining and monitoring KPIs reports on network, area and RAN level
• Defining and monitoring “worst objects” reports at Node-B level
• Analyzing and troubleshooting “worst objects” reports by recommending software changes, hardware changes or alerting O&M in case of hardware problem
• Analyzing drive test measurements to detect eventual problems and recommend changes to fix those problems
• Giving input to RF planning department in terms of capacity, quality and coverage for expansion phases
• Trialing and Implementing new feature to improve overall 3G radio network performance
• Eventually, in a project, coordinating and validating the technical work of a small group of 3G RF performance engineers
• Eventually transferring the competence internally and towards Nokia customers


Work experience
• At least 4 years experience in RF optimization projects with operators or vendors.
• Extensive practical 3G optimization experience in Nokia projects is required.


Requirements
• Fluency in English and Spanish or Portuguese
• Deep Knowledge and practice of 3G planning and optimization processes
• Deep Knowledge and practice of 3G RF Planning tool (NetAct Planner or equivalent)
• Deep Knowledge and practice of drive test measurement/analysis tool (TEMS, NEMO)
• Deep Knowledge and practice of MAPINFO
• Deep knowledge and practice of Nokia RAN parameters and counters
• Deep Knowledge and practice of OSS, RAN tools: Configuration Management, Performance Management, Fault Management related e.g. PlanEditor, Radio Access Configurator tools, Optimizer, Reporter, Traffica, MML commands
