-- Extensive Experience in Installation, Migration and upgrade of db2 version 9.1.x, db2 version 8.1.x in a multi-partitioned environment.
-- Experience in installing fixpacks, patches as required for partitioned instances/ databases
-- Extensive Experience in Database design, Data Analysis in ESE environment
-- Extensive Experience in Performance Tuning, Monitoring of a database in multi-partitioned instances
-- Strong experience in the Administration and Maintenance of db2 multi-partitioned database in an AIX environment
-- Strong Experience in the Implementation and in the Support of large volumes ( 10 Terra Bytes ) db2 database
-- Extensive Experience in Implementing Backup and Recovering Strategies, high Availability and Disaster Recovery strategies on a multi-partitioned database
-- Experience in Database Recovery in distincts cenarios
-- Ability to quickly analyze and tune complex, multi table join queries
-- Perform Scheduled database maintenance; as reorgs, snapshots, runstats, import, export, load, explain, memory, backup and restore
-- Must have experience in working with TSM
-- Design and implement the proof of the development environment concept.
-- Creation of database / nodegroups / tablespaces and various objects.
-- Create, monitorate users, privileges and revoke/ grant access accordingly
-- DB/DBM parameter tuning, different levels of memory allocation tuning
-- Monitorate and manage diskspaces uses, and/or contents
-- Generate reports as required
-- Implement changed requests and recommend needed overall system performance
-- Ability to analyze a problem and recommend fast and accurate solutions
-- Provide 24x7 Support on all production databases
-- Expert in Unix Shell Scripting
-- Strong Analytical and communicative skills
-- Team player
